Dr. Nir Hus, M.D., Ph.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Nir Hus is one of Boca Raton, Florida’s most trusted and dedicated general and trauma surgery specialists. For close to a decade, Dr. Hus has performed surgeries such as minimally invasive complex hernia repairs, various laparoscopic surgeries, and emergent lifesaving major surgeries for trauma. As a board-certified general surgeon by the American Board of Surgery, he diagnoses and treats a myriad of conditions. With a fellowship in trauma surgery/critical care, he helps repair patient’s bodies and their lives following traumatic injury aiming at getting them back to their normal level of functioning. Dr. Hus’ motto is to “Always do what’s right for the patient” and goes the extra mile for each one.
Dr. Hus is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is an active member of the American Medical Association, Florida Committee on Trauma, Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, a development committee member of the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, and an active educational committee member for the Chest Wall Injury Society.
Dr. Hus has an enduring commitment to lifelong education. He graduated from the University of Miami with a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics and then earned his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He then completed his general surgery residency at the Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL and his fellowship training in trauma surgery and critical care at Jackson Memorial Ryder Trauma Center in Miami, Florida.
Joshua A. Simon, D.O.
Dr. Josh Simon is a board-certified general surgeon by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. He specializes in Trauma Surgery, General Surgery, Robotic Hernia, and Wound care. Dr. Simon earned his medical degree at Nova Southeastern University Dr. Kieran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency at Larkin Community Hospital in Miami, Florida where he was chosen to serve as chief surgery resident. Dr. Simon also then went on to an esteemed surgical/critical care fellowship training at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey.
Dr. Simon is a member of the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma. He has a strong commitment to teaching and fostering the next generation of physicians through the Florida Atlantic College of Medicine where he is an affiliate associate professor of surgery. Dr. Simon has widely published peer reviewed research in the world of trauma and continues to attend leading medical conferences to be at the forefront of the surgical field.
